Free Claude Courses With Badges on Claude Academy

Claude Academy is where Anthropic teaches people about AI and Claude. It has step by step courses, and it's free. When you pass a course's quizzes, you earn a badge. A badge is a record that shows you finished the course. Here's how to get started, which courses to take first, and what the badges are (and aren't).

1. Open Claude Academy

Go to academy.claude.com. You can look through the courses without signing in.

2. Sign in with a free Claude account

To save your progress and earn badges, sign in with a free Claude account. You don't need a paid plan or a work account.

3. Start with Claude 101

Claude 101 has 13 lessons and takes about two and a half hours. If you're new to Claude, start here.

As you go through a course, you can ask Claude to quiz you on what you've learned. Start with:

I'm taking a beginner course about Claude. Ask me five short questions, one at a time, about what I've just learned. After each answer, tell me what I got right and what I should look at again.

4. Take AI Fluency: Framework and foundations

This course takes about four hours. Take it once you've finished Claude 101.

5. Take AI capabilities and limitations

This course takes about three and a half hours. It's a good next step after AI Fluency.

6. Pass the quizzes to earn your badges

To earn a badge, pass the course quizzes. You can retake them as many times as you like, and badges don't expire.

7. Download or share your badge

You can download a badge as a PDF or add it to your LinkedIn profile. Each badge has a public link, so anyone can check it's real.
