Five Claude Projects to Build This Weekend

Set up a morning brief, a private file library, a weekly review, a brand kit and a learning library in Claude.

Claude Projects keep your files, notes and chats in one place, so you don't have to explain everything again each time. Here are five small projects you can set up over a weekend. Each one starts with a single prompt, and you can keep improving it afterwards.

First, a few plain terms. Project knowledge is the set of files you add to a Project, which Claude can read when you chat inside it. A connector links Claude to another app, such as Gmail. An Artifact is a piece of work Claude makes that you can open, edit and reuse, like a document, a dashboard or a small tool.

1. A life dashboard

Google Workspace connectors let Claude read your Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive. Whether you can turn them on depends on your plan. If it's a work or school account, it also depends on your admin settings. Once Gmail and Calendar are connected, start with:

Prompt
Look at my Google Calendar for today and my Gmail from the last 24 hours. Give me a short morning brief: my meetings with times, any emails that need a reply today, and anything I should prepare. Keep it under 150 words.

2. A private second brain

Make a new Project and keep it private. Add contracts, receipts, warranties and bills as project knowledge. Then you can ask questions about them in plain English. Say:

Prompt
Using only the files in this project, tell me when my phone contract ends, what the notice period is, and which page says so. If you can't find it, say so instead of guessing.

Always check the answer against the original document before you act on it, especially for dates and money.

3. A weekly review helper

Make a Project called Weekly Review. Each week, open a new chat there and paste in your notes, to do list or diary. Start with:

Prompt
Here are my notes from this week. Ask me five short questions, one at a time, about what went well, what got stuck and what I want to finish next week. Then write a one page summary with my top three priorities.

4. A brand kit as an Artifact

This one suits small business owners and anyone with a side project. Ask Claude to build the kit as an Artifact, so you can open it, edit it and come back to it later. Say:

Prompt
Make a brand kit as an Artifact for my business, [name], which [what it does] for [who it's for]. Include three colour options with hex codes, two font pairings, a short tagline, a 50 word description, and five example sentences that show how we talk to customers. Keep the tone warm and simple.

To change it, ask in plain words, for example "make the colours softer", and Claude will update the Artifact.

5. A learning library

Pick one thing you want to learn, like Spanish, budgeting or basic coding. Make a Project and add your course notes, handouts or reading list as project knowledge. Start with:

Prompt
Using the files in this project, make me a two week study plan with 20 minutes a day. At the end of each day, quiz me with three questions and explain any I get wrong in simple words.

Before you start

  • Keep private files, like contracts and receipts, in private projects. Don't add them to shared ones.
  • Check Claude's answers against the original documents, especially dates, amounts and names.
  • Connector and feature options depend on your plan, so check the help articles if a menu looks different.
