How to Make Flashcards and Quizzes in ChatGPT
Turn your notes into interactive flashcards in ChatGPT, then ask it to quiz you on the topic.
ChatGPT can turn your notes into interactive flashcards, then quiz you on the topic. It's a simple way to revise for a test, learn new words or check what you remember. Flashcards work on all ChatGPT plans, on mobile and on the web.
A few plain terms first. A flashcard has a question or word on one side and the answer on the other. A deck is a set of flashcards. Your library is where your saved decks go, so you can use them again later.
1. Make your flashcards
Upload your notes, such as a study guide or a page of revision notes. Then say:
Turn this study guide into flashcards. No notes? You can ask for flashcards on a topic instead. Start with:
Make flashcards on the parts of a plant cell.2. Flip, mark and shuffle
Once your deck is ready, you can work through it card by card.
- Tap a card to flip it and see the other side.
- Mark ✔️ if you know it.
- Mark ❌ if you want to practise it again.
- Shuffle the deck to mix up the order.
3. Change the cards
You can edit a deck just by asking. If a topic is missing, say:
Add cards about mitochondria. If an answer is hard to follow, say:
Rewrite this definition in simpler language.4. Quiz yourself
When you've gone through the cards, ask ChatGPT to test you. Say:
Quiz me on this topic.Interactive quizzes are on all consumer plans and Edu, on the web and mobile.
5. Come back later
Decks are saved in your library. To use one again, ask ChatGPT to bring it back. Say:
Bring back my plant cell flashcards.Good to know
